Geza architects have recently completed a new headquarters and production complex in Fagagna, Udine, Italy, for Practic Spa who are specialist manufacturers of awnings.

With wide views over the hill of Fagagna and mountains to the north, Stefano Gri and Piero Zucchi’s design is expansive. The production plant occupies 9,000 square metres and the office 1,000 square metres. The two buildings are constructed out of prefab concrete frame and infill vertical panels, obliterating the need for horizontal joints.

The entire roof of the plant is covered with photovoltaic panels.

The project is accompanied by a book entitled GEZA. PRATIC (Silvana Editoriale) that offers an extensive photographic survey by Fernando Guerra and an essay by Mario Carpo.
