The Wood Awards competition has extended its deadline from the 1 June to the 22 June, so there is still plenty of time to get entries in.
The Wood Awards provide a unique and exciting opportunity to showcase some of the very best in today’s buildings and furniture using wood. Details and entry from can be found at The Wood Awards.
Eligible projects include timber cladding, CLT, timber-frame, engineered timber structures, wood veneer panelling, solid or engineered flooring, staircases or decking projects, to name but a few. Buildings entered can be commercial or public, private or small, new build or adapted for reuse.
Entries should have been completed between January 2011 and June 2012. Any company associated with a project can enter a project with the owners’ permission.
The timber industry’s sustainability and promotion campaign, Wood for Good, and Canada Wood, the joint initiative between the Canadian government and timber industry association partners representing producers in Canada, have both this year become lead sponsors of the Wood Awards, alongside long standing supporters the American Hardwood Export Council and the Worshipful Company of Carpenters. Other sponsors include TRADA and American Softwoods, with support from BRE.
The Wood Awards is the premier award for wood in buildings and furniture.
