President’s Medals

The best student work of 2017 on show at RIBA in London and Liverpool

Highlights of the student work recognised by the 2017 RIBA President’s Medals are on show both at RIBA in London until 10 February and RIBA North in Liverpool until 24 February 2018.

The Silver Medal for best design project at Part 2 was awarded to Daniel Hall, a student at The Cooper Union, NYC (image above). This is the first time the medal has been awarded to a student at a school that is not accredited by RIBA.

The Bronze Medal for best design project at Part 1 went to Kangli Zheng, a student at the University of Nottingham (below).

The Dissertation Medal was won by Rhiain Bower (University of Westminster), and the Serjeant Awards for Excellence in Drawing were won by Gabriel Beard (Part 1) and Thomas Parker (Part 2).
