Quantum Insulation introduces its new non-combustible upstand insulation board

Specialist flat roof insulation supplier Quantum Insulation has added Rockface A2, a non-combustible upstand insulation board for inverted roof applications to its product range. Designed to meet the requirements of Building Regulations 2(6)(a)(ii), the product has been tested by Warringtonfire to BSEN1350–1, achieving an A2-s1, d0 rating. Manufactured from non-combustible Fabrock, Rockface A2 will not develop smoke or promote spread of flame, even when directly exposed to fire. It also repels and drains water away from the product, and will completely dry out while maintaining its original physical properties. Furthermore, RockFace A2 has an Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) of zero and a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of less than five.
Quantum Insulation believes that Rockface A2 is currently the only available inverted roof upstand insulation board that meets the requirements for ‘Relevant Buildings’ within Approved Document B, and the Scottish Technical Handbooks (those over 18-metres high in England and over 11-metres high in Scotland).
